North High Cross Country

Regional Champions 2016
  •  Congratulations to our graduating Class of 2019!

Gabriel completed his graduation requirements in December 2018 and received a scholarship to run Track and Cross Country at Cloud County Community College. He plans to study Business. He is excelling in his academics and running this semester! Gabriel your smile always brought joy to your team and your determination will take you far!

Yadira is graduating a year early and is more than ready to take the next step in her education. She is planning to attend Butler County Community College. Her favorite memory with cross country was "when we had the lock in in the new gym and dancing to Caballo Dorado with the team." Yadi, your spirit, smile, and fun self will be missed.

Ariel has signed to run cross country at Newman University and will major in Nursing. Her favorite memory of XC is "being able to be a part of this family, being about to hang out with my coaches and teammates, and that we always support and encourage each other." Ariel you are a budding flower that is ready to bloom. You have so much to share and offer this world. Let your brightness shine and know we will always support you!

Jared plans to attend Friends University in the fall to run cross country and track while majoring in Zoo Science. Jared's favorite memory is running at State as a team! Jared has been an amazing leader for our XC family. He not only has led by example of perserverance and determination, but he encouraged every teammate to reach for their goals! Stay awesome Jared!

Kayla plans to attend Friends University to major in Zoo Science to pursue Wildlife Rehabilitation while running cross country and track. Her favorite memory from cross country was every time she was able to PR because it was always a reminder that the hard work had all paid off. Kayla has been a strong leader and role model for the women's team. She not only had high expectations of herself and put in the work to achieve her goals, she always wanted the best and most for her team. Kayla, continue to let your light shine!

Jack plans to attend Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, CO and run cross country. His favorite cross country memory is future authoring and competing at meets. Jack is an amazing endurance runner and has discipline unlike many athletes I know. He is a trail guy and loves any adventure he can get into. Jack, enjoy the mountains. They've definitely been calling you and I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes you!

Andy plans to run for Trinidad State Junior College in Alamosa, Colorado. His favorite memory is running against different competition at the Chili Pepper meet in Arkansas. I joked with Andy that he is our mountain man and come to find out, he is! Andy is a consistent leader who always challenged himself to find the right racing strategy to achieve the most success for himself, but especially his team. Andy, you can do anything you set your mind to!

Patricia plans to atend Pratt County Community College and run cross country and track while majoring in Ministry. Patricia first told me she wouldn't be a good runner because she wasn't allowed to run in her country due to being too tall. I told her that her height will not stop her from being a part of our XC family and we will teach her how to run. It didn't take long for Patricia to start leading the pack and push her teammates to complete their workouts and finish their push ups and burpees. Patricia wants everyone to succeed and feel supported. She would finish her race and within minutes, she was out cheering on runners from every school until the last racer crossed the finish line. She has a contagious laugh and smile that brought so much energy to our team. Patricia, you are going to be missed so much! Go show the world what you're made of.

Ismari plans to attend the University of Kansas to study Human Biology with a pre-med concentration. Her favorite memory was the comradery everyone had with one another on the team. That we always support each other whether it be school or a hard workout. Ismari is a fearless leader in every capacity of life. She is a confident, hard-working, driven woman who will have an amazing impact in this world. Her kind, genuine heart captured the respect of her teammates, classmates, and coaches. Ismari, you are destined for greatness! Your family is always here to support you.
