Message from Mr. Kasel

(Toda la informacion se le hara disponible en espanol el 3/30/2020)

In light of the disruption caused in our community and our country by the COVID-19 virus, our school district has been working hard to develop continuous learning opportunities for your students.

Phase 1 will begin on Monday, and includes both paper and online materials that will help your student re-engage in learning from your home environment. If you don’t have a computer, a printer or the internet at home – don’t worry! We are considering the needs of all students, and as we have more details to share with you about learning opportunities for your students, we will let you know how you can access these resources.

Phase 2 will create opportunities for teachers to begin sharing class-specific learning opportunities with your student – my student. Because I don’t have email addresses for all of my students, I’m reaching out through you in hopes that you will share the message below with your scholar.

I look forward to learning in new ways alongside your student, and will share more with you in the coming days. In the meantime, don’t worry about not having technology, or how you will help your child with content you may not be familiar with yourself. That’s what I’m here for! Take the opportunity to disengage from technology while you’re home. Challenge your student to read a book, or go outside and get some physical activity. Learning doesn’t have to STOP while we’re away from the physical school environment, it will just look different. I’m excited to be on this journey with you.
