West High will have two options for summer learing.
West High School’s Extended Learning Opportunity Credit Recovery Program is open to current 9th-11th grade students who meet criteria for participation. (To be eligible, the student must have failed a core course with a grade in the 50-59% range.)
This program is FREE to all students. The purpose of this program is to allow students to raise a once failing grade to a passing grade of a D. Students may work on more than one course. Students enrolled in ELO who need help need to be online from 8-11:30.
See Extended Learning Opportunity TAB for dates and more information.
#.2 Summer School
All summer school classes will be held online using Edgenuity this summer.
If you have not used Edgenuity before, you can watch a short introductory video for assistance. You access the Edgenuity icon through Rapid ID. Contact Susan Stauffer if you have any questions at 973-3673, or email her at email@example.com.
If you need recovery credit, you may select up to two classes. You will only be enrolled in the first class in Edgenuity. If you pass the first class and you have enough time remaining to complete the second class, we will enroll you for the second class.
West is offering Government and Financial Literacy for original credit this summer. The cost is $90 per class, and you will be enrolled in both classes immediately. You may pay online at https://mypaymentsplus.com. Once you are signed in, click on Events & Activities > Summer Programs and click on your student's first name. If you would like to pay in person, please call 973-3607 to see if arrangements can be made. It may be difficult to pay in person due to restrictions related to the state-mandated closure of public schools. Contact West Bookkeeper Emily McCullough at 973-3607.
