    Future Ready Return to School Graphic On Aug. 20, the Wichita Board of Education approved the Return to School plan to allow OnSite and MySchool Remote for Prek-5 students and MySchool Remote only for 6-12 students. The decision will last 9 weeks with the option for the district to convene the Superintendent's COVID-19 Advisory Committee to request a change if conditions warrant.     Highlights of the plan include:


    The Onsite or MySchool Remote based on parent selection, for PreK-5 students.


    MySchool Remote for all students in grades 6-12.


    Students enrolled in Education Imagine Academy will continue learning in that virtual model regardless of the level of restriction designated by the Board of Education.

  • The Future Ready Return to School Plan for the 2020-21 school year was developed with the health and safety in mind for WPS students, families and staff. The Wichita Public Schools continues to work with experts, monitor public health data, learn from peers and gather input from staff and families.     We will closely monitor health conditions and be prepared to pivot in our planning and execution if warranted.


    The first day of school for the 20-21 school year is Tuesday, September 8. Teachers will have time to collaborate and prepare for teaching and learning opportunities the weeks prior to the school year beginning.
