NEW!!! (February 22, 2021) As COVID-19 numbers continue to decrease, there will be changes for some middle and high school students as they return onsite learning four days a week starting March 1. WPS will evaluate the success of this transition, which may give more students the opportunity to return to onsite learning four days a week.
On March 1:
Onsite 12th grade students will come face-to-face four days a week (Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri)
Onsite 6th grade students will come face-to-face four days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).
Wednesdays will remain remote, and will stay on the remote Wednesday schedule.
On March 8:Onsite 9th grade students will come face-to-face four days a week.
Wednesdays will remain remote, and will stay on the remote Wednesday schedule.
All spring sport athletes for middle and high schools will return to onsite learning, if they chose onsite as their preferred learning model.
Each eligible student will receive more information about this transition from their middle or high school. This transition does not change the learning schedule for students currently being served through a Temporary Services Plan.Para más información en español visite http://bit.ly/3klnezy.

The Future Ready Return to School Plan for the 2020-21 school year was developed with the health and safety in mind for WPS students, families and staff. The Wichita Public Schools continues to work with experts, monitor public health data, learn from peers and gather input from staff and families. All facilities will practice caution and social distancing, and focus on hand washing and cleaning protocols. Click here to read the original Future Ready Return to School Plan. Aspects of this plan have been updated as appropriate as the academic year progresses, and updates are noted on this web site as appropriate.
We will closely monitor health conditions and be prepared to pivot in our planning and execution if warranted.
