Our flag hallway represents the many languages and countries of our student body. With over 43 languages and 36 countries, our students truly come from all over the globe.

The history of classroom E144 illustrates the fascinating and multi-purpose history of our building. Originally part of the cafeteria, it was later remodeled into choir and band rooms, and now it serves as home to our Digital Media Career & Tech Ed Classroom where students create a variety of digital content, including our news show, EHS Today. Maya Angelou Visits East High
On December 20, 1996, Maya Angelou came to Wichita to be present for the dedication of the northeast branch of the Wichita Public Library at 3051 E 21st N (which had been named in her honor). As part of that visit, Angelou came to East High to speak to the students in the original West Auditorium, now our Testing Center.
