• If you haven’t already, download the FirstView app from the App Store or Google Play. This app allows you to securely track your child’s bus, receive bus-specific communication, and customize push alerts regarding your child’s bus. It’s free, and you can find more information at www.usd259.org/firstview. In order to successfully connect to the FirstView app, you will need two pieces of information: (1) your child’s student ID; and (2) a security code to assure safe parent access to the system. The code must be obtained from your child’s school office, so please plan to reach out to the school during the normal business day.

• Remind your student of bus routines and safety practices. If your child is elementary aged, please take a few minutes to watch this short video that reminds them about the S.A.F.E.T.Y. Zone around their school.

 TRANSPORTATION ELIGIBILITY

Students must live 2.5 miles* or more from their assigned school to qualify for transportation to that school.

   *The distance is determined by the routing program, Edulog, which provides distance using the most direct route.

Our Partnership with Wichita Transit provides alternative transportation for students

All students are eligible to receive transportation through Wichita Transit with reduced-price bus passes. The prices are $20 a month, $40 a semester or $70 a year. Bus passes are available through your school's office or at www.wichitatransit.org.
