Enroll in WPS

Welcome to Wichita Public Schools (WPS), where the world walks in our hallways, and all students are invited to join our learning family!

With close to 90 schools and programs to choose from, we know you'll find the best option for your student. Like all Kansas public school districts, a few factors will play into that choice, and we've developed the below enrollment journey to reflect some of those factors. Families who live in the geographic boundaries of USD259 (whether or not you already attend one of our schools) will want to start with the In-District Families steps. Those who live in a different city or county and want to explore or attend a WPS location will want to start with Out-of-District Families. If you're not sure which category you are included in, start with our online School Finder Tool.

In-District Family Options

For those who live in WPS geographic boundaries, start here to learn about neighborhood schools, magnet schools, advanced learning, special education support, the special assignment process, special placements and more.

Early Childhood

The path to being future ready starts at birth with a child's first teachers - their parents. WPS provides support at this stage of student development with Parents as Teachers, Screen for Success and Pre-Kindergarten Programs.

Adult Learners

We know that education journeys can get interrupted or disrupted. Adults over age 18 who need to complete a high school diploma for any reason have opportunities in WPS programs.
