Elementary
Camp Curiosity - Open to K - 5th grade in Title I Schools
June 2 - 19, 2025, Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Enrollment window: March 3 - April 11, 2025. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis after all the enrollment information has been completed and submitted.
Camp Curiosity locations are at Allen, Cloud, Dodge, Enders, Harry Street and Spaght for K- 5th grade students at Title I schools. Check with your child's school to see if their school is a Title I school.
Children can attend any of the available sites with the exception of Spaght. Spaght Elementary will accept students from Spaght, L'Ouverture and Mueller only.
Students will participate in reading, writing, math, STEM and enrichment activities, along with weekly field trips.
Parents will provide transportation for their child(ren) unless the student has an IEP that includes transportation.
Each site will offer breakfast and lunch.

Middle School
High School
High School Summer School
Students can take courses for original credit and credit recovery.
June 2 - 19, 2025, Monday - Thursday, 7:30 - 11:30 a.m., 12 - 4 p.m.
East High School, 2301 E. Douglas and Education Imagine Academy (Virtual)
Enrollment opens April 7, 2025. The last day to enroll for virtual summer school courses is May 16 by 3 p.m. The last day to enroll for in-person summer courses is May 23 by 3 p.m. Classes will be filled by a first-come, first served basis and could close early due to full enrollment.
Courses for original credit or recovery credit
- P.E. and Health Foundations, students entering freshman year or beyond (1.0 credits)
- Government, students entering senior year (.5 credits)
- Financial Literacy, students entering junior or senior year (.5 credits)
- Professional Communications, students entering sophomore year or beyond (.5 credits)
Government and financial literacy are also offered virtually through Education Imagine Academy.
Courses for recovery credit only:
- English I, II, III, IV
- Algebra 1
- Geometry
- Biology
- U.S. History 1 and 2
Students are expected to be present each day and risk removal from the summer school opportunity without credit and without a refund. Family vacations, doctor appointments and other commitments should not be planned during summer school classes.
No make-up sessions will be held. Three tardies equals one absence. A student is considered absent if they are late after 30 minutes into a session. Emergency absences will be up to the discretion of the summer school administrator. Dropping a course after the first day of summer school may result in an F and forfeiture of enrollment fees.
Students must enroll at their base school with their school counselor. Current 8th grade students who want to take P.E. and Health Foundations must enroll through their base high school.
Students taking virtual courses will be notified the week of May 19, 2025 of final details. Students taking in-person courses will be notified by the week of May 26, 2025.
First semester courses are offered 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. Second semester courses are offered 12 - 4 p.m.
Current WPS students course fees:
- Original Credit - $90 per half credit
- Recovery Credit - free
Out-of-district student course fees:
- $150 per half credit
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for in-person students.
Transportation is not provided.
All USD259 policies are in effect for summer school. Cell phone usage is prohibited during class time.
Other High School credit recovery options
High School Learning Centers
All high school students who need to complete credit courses they started during the current school year can do so at their base high school Learning Centers through Edgenuity.
Extended Learning Opportunity
High school students with a 50 - 59% grade in classes required for graduation have the opportunity to complete the coursework necessary to earn a passing grade at their base high school.

Identified PreK - 12 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) will be invited to participate in:
Parents of students with Individualized Education Programs who are interested may also apply for:
STEALTH
Students who participate in the STEALTH Afterschool program during the school year will receive an invitation to participate in in the Summer STEALTH program.
Migrant
Identified high school students with language support needs will be invited to participate in the migrant summer program.
