SAEBRS

What Are SAEBRS and mySAEBRS?

To support student well-being, Wichita Public Schools uses two quick screeners each year:

SAEBRS (Teacher Screener)

  • Completed by teachers for grades K–12
  • Administered twice a year (October & February)
  • Covers Social, Academic, and Emotional behavior
  • Helps identify students who may need extra support early

mySAEBRS (Student Screener)

  • Completed by students in grades 3–12
  • Administered once a year (August)
  • Students self-report on the same three areas
  • Takes only 1–3 minutes to complete

Educators use this information to plan classroom supports and interventions, ensuring every student’s needs are met.

Teachers mark the frequency with which they observe the student displaying each of the behaviors during the previous month.
