Transportation
What We Do
Wichita Public School’s transportation department oversees the safe student transportation of eligible students to and from school each day. Approximately 35% of Wichita Public School’s students are eligible for Transportation.
Students may be transported if they live 2.5 miles or more from their assigned school or if they are a Special Education student with Transportation as a related service on an IEP. Eligibility for transportation services are outlined in Board of Education Policy P7300, found here. WebQuery will show residence’s neighborhood school and if the student is eligible to receive bus transportation.
Transportation is provided in the most efficient manner possible.
Who transports Students?
Wichita Public Schools contracts for transportation services with First Student, EverDriven, and Wichita Transit.
