The Sedgwick County Health Department is hosting COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at our high schools.
Thursday, Sept. 9 - Heights High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 10 - Southeast High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 12 - East High School, 1 - 5 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 13 - South High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept 14 - North High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 15 - West High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 16 - Northeast High School, 4 - 7 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 17 - Northwest High School, 5 - 8 p.m.
The vaccines are available to anyone ages 12 and over. You can learn more about the vaccine at sedgwickcounty.org/covid-19/vaccine-information or call 316-660-7300.
Under New Business during the August 23 Wichita Board of Education meeting, members voted 6-0 to require masks for all individuals in district buildings ages 3 and up starting Monday, August 30. Read more about the BOE vote.
The WPS Advance return to school plan focuses on five key areas:
- Healthy learning and work environments - this includes face masks being strongly recommended for students and staff, and required for all visitors
- Learning opportunities
- Student, staff and partner activities
- Food service
