Wichita Public Schools is now accepting volunteer registration requests for the 24-25 school year.

We look forward to welcoming volunteers and partners into Wichita Public Schools buildings again in Fall 2024. All individuals volunteering in a WPS school, including parents, are required to register as a volunteer every school year. This registration allows us to conduct a background check on all volunteers to ensure the safety of our students, staff and visitors. It also provides us the information needed to contact volunteers in the event of schedule changes or building closures. 

All volunteers and visitors are encouraged to wear masks or appropriate face coverings if they prefer.

If you are most interested in mentoring a student, we encourage you to first explore mentoring through one of our fantastic community partners listed on the mentoring section. These organizations are skilled facilitators of mentor relationships and provide many ways to connect with students who are part of Wichita Public Schools.
