The Wichita Board of Education voted on October 30 to delay secondary students starting blended onsite learning until November 12, three days later than the original November 9 start date.

Last year, students at four WPS schools competed in Arts Partners' Generation STEAM Design Competition where students had to come up with an idea to address and improve the quality of life in Wichita. Mr. William's fifth-grade class at Mueller Magnet Elementary won, and wanted to distribute first aid kits to each student at their school.

BOE approves middle and high school learning plan for second nine weeks
The Wichita Board of Education approved a change in the learning model for the second nine weeks for middle and high school students utilizing a Blended Onsite/MySchool Remote model for students who selected onsite learning at enrollment. There are no changes to the elementary learning options for the second nine-weeks.

Video: WPS Legacy Fund Golf Classic
On Oct. 9, the district held the inaugural Legacy Fund Golf Classic at Crestview Country Club, presented by Credit Union of America. The event raised more than $85,000 for the WPS Legacy Fund, supporting the Early College Academy at Northwest High School, a partnership with Friends University.
