High school juniors and eligible seniors to take ACT for free February 20 – No school for freshman and sophomores

High school juniors and eligible seniors to take ACT for free February 20 – No school for freshman and sophomores

This school year, the state of Kansas is paying for one ACT test, allowing all juniors, and seniors who have not taken the ACT, to take the test for free on February 20.  Freshmen and sophomores will not have school that day to allow the ACT test to be taken without interruptions. Seniors who have already taken the ACT will participate in other activities at school.

February 20 will be a half-day for juniors and seniors. Northeast Magnet will be dismissed by 11:30 a.m. and all other high schools will be dismissed by 12:30 p.m. Students who ride the bus will have transportation home.

The only testing date that is offered for free by the state of Kansas is February 20. Students are welcome to take the ACT on other scheduled testing dates, but will be required to pay the registration fee.
