Education Imagine Academy selected as a Microsoft Showcase School

For the second year in a row, Education Imagine Academy, Wichita Public Schools’ virtual school program, has been selected as a Microsoft Showcase School for its vision and its commitment to educational transformation. EI Academy is the only school in Kansas and the first virtual program anywhere to earn the distinction. EI Academy joins an exclusive network of schools for innovative lessons with students and collaboration with teachers from around the world.

As a Microsoft Showcase School, Education Imagine Academy will work closely with Microsoft to use Microsoft products and employees to provide students with tools needed for success inside and outside of the classroom. EI Academy will also be a resource for other schools who are interested in successfully implementing the program.

“It is an amazing honor to be selected as a Microsoft Showcase School, which will help us meet our students where they are academically and push them forward to be successful global learners,” said Amanda Young, Program Coordinator of Education Imagine Academy.

“Microsoft Showcase Schools are shining examples of those applying purpose-driven innovation in a variety of ways to build connection, motivate students and to create community in and out of school,” said Anthony Salcito, Vice president, Worldwide Education, Microsoft. “These schools are truly transforming learning and providing more personalized education to students, empowering them to achieve more.”

Education Imagine Academy provides flexibility and choice for students to learn in an online and in-person environment. Project-based learning, real-world experiences and community projects, along with weekly 1:1 mentoring with teachers and staff to help guide students to be Future Ready.  All students are provided a free device and internet service.
