Acting has been a passion of Northwest High School senior Leo Larson’s ever since he was a young child.
He has acted in roles at Wichita Community Theatre, Signature Theatre, Guild Hall Players and Roxy’s Downtown.
Last year, he started his own theater company, Kansas Lion Productions. He rented the Jabara Black Box Theatre at Newman University where he produced and directed “American Buffalo,” by David Mamet.
After graduation, Larson plans to attend DePaul University in Chicago where he hopes to become a playwright.
He was one of only five students chosen for the university’s playwriting program.
Larson looks back fondly at his time at Northwest.
“I have a really good friend group and I really enjoyed my experience at Northwest,” said Larson.
