Three WPS seniors receive WSU Wallace Scholarships

Wallace Scholars Jessica Orchard and Sabrina Saathoff from Northeast Magnet and Esmeralda Sanchez-Torres from North received the Wallace Scholarship from Wichita State’s College of Engineering. They were among 14 seniors who will receive $28,000 to study engineering. Selection for the scholarship is based on high school GPA, ACT score and performance at the annual Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering (WISE) held in November.

Orchard plans to study mechanical engineering, Sanchez-Torres plans to study aerospace engineering and Saatoff is undecided in her engineering field.

The Wallace Scholarship is made possible through the Dwane and Velma Wallace Endowment.
