WPS seniors receive Assistance League scholarships

Twenty-one WPS graduating seniors were recognized April 22 at the Assistance League of Wichita Scholarship Luncheon where they received a scholarship which covers one year of tuition, books and supplies at either WSU Tech or Butler Community College.

Students have the opportunity to reapply for the scholarship in year two.

In addition to their scholarship, students will be paired with a mentor from the Assistance League.

Javier Boroquez and Raquel Jiminez were awarded the Nancy Cochner Scholarship.
