Buff Farrow (Class of 85) - Inducted into Kansas Sports Hall of Fame
Southeast would like to share and congratulate Buff Farrow for his recent induction to the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.
BUFF FARROW – Wichita Southeast H.S., 1985 / University of California-Los Angeles, 1989
Two-time state champion singles tennis player at Wichita Southeast. Ranked as high as #2 in national junior rankings as a senior in high school; #11 ranked junior player in the world as a senior. Competed collegiately at UCLA from 1986 to 1989. Two-time team captain at UCLA in 1988 and 1989. Won four letters at UCLA. Two-time Pac-10 Conference selection in 1988 and 1989. Two-time All-American selection in 1988 and 1989. 1988 NCAA singles semi-finalist; 1988 NCAA doubles finalist. Member of the United States Davis Cup Team from 1988 to 1993 after turning pro. Achieved world rank of 224 as a professional. Defeated noted professionals Jimmy Connors, Mats Wilander, and Bjorn Borg, during career. Since retirement, still active in United States Tennis Association as a volunteer committee member. Inducted to the Wichita Southeast High School Hall of Fame in 2012.
