Students can get assistance with assignments from home

The Wichita Public Schools is offering students two options to get assistance with their homework.

Wichita Public Schools Homework Hotline launches August 29

The WPS Homework Hotline offers support for students at all grade levels in English and Spanish. WPS teachers are available to answer questions on any elementary assignment and help with middle and high school math, language arts, social studies, science and Spanish assignments, along with support for special education and ESOL.

In addition, Homework Hotline can:

  • help younger students with their nightly read-aloud homework
  • help younger students practice math facts
  • work with groups of students on projects and/or give them access to monitored break-out rooms in Teams so students can work together.

The Homework Hotline is open Monday through Thursday from 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. Call 973-4411 or email questions to homework@usd259.net.

Revolution Now online tutoring for secondary students begins September 7

Middle and high school students can receive homework help in 30 different subjects with Revolution Now online tutoring. The virtual program allows students access to tutors with live help sessions in a variety of math, language arts, science, social studies and foreign language classes, including AP courses. The program is free to students.

To access Revolution Now Homework Help, students can login to their WPS Rapid ID portal and select the Revolution Now tile. Once logged in, students can select the courses they would like help with and schedule a time for help, or join one of the sessions in progress during the time they are logged in.

Revolution Now video calls are available afternoons, evenings and weekends. The chat feature is available 24/7. Tutors can help in Spanish and other languages.

For information about both programs, go to www.usd259.org/homework.
