Wichita Public Schools will host a Signing Day event for nearly 40 teachers who have signed an open contract to work in the district. The event is Tuesday, March 28, 1 – 3 p.m. at the Alvin Morris Administrative Center, 903 S. Edgemoor. The teachers who will be celebrated have an open contract to begin teaching in August.

Each teacher will sign a commitment sheet and receive a WPS ball cap as part of the event, as well as have an opportunity to meet each other. Mayberry Cultural and Fine Arts Magnet’s pep band will play during the event.

The new teachers will receive items from Project Teacher and Credit Union of America to help set up their new classrooms.
