Deadline extended for Education EDGE Classroom Mini-Grant & KOCH Classroom Grant Applications

Education EDGE logo Applications for the 2020-2021 Education EDGE Mini-Grants and KOCH Classroom Grants are now open. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Wichita Public Schools, we’ll be awarding $150,000 to teachers to support innovative, engaging opportunities for students through Education EDGE. Our partners at KOCH Industries will continue to award classroom grants to fund STEM and Business Entrepreneurship opportunities as well.

In addition, a number of new and exciting changes have been made to the granting process this year including:

  • An online application process via Microsoft Forms
  • All applications must align with one or more of the District’s four Strategic Plan Goals
  • Teachers can get one-on-one support to strengthen their application by booking a 30-minute meeting with Grants Department staff through Dec. 4.
    • Book online at usd259.org/edge - click the “Get Help With Your Grant” tab
  • A recorded version of the webinar explaining the application process is now available on the Education EDGE website usd259.org/edge

Any licensed teacher in the Wichita Public Schools can apply by submitting a grant proposal online. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7.
