Employee information for Fall Break, November 23 - 27

The BOE voted 6-0 to extend Fall Recess to encompass November 23 – 27 the entire week. This extension will allow employees, in schools and non-attendance centers, to have an extended break at the end of the month to focus on health and well-being.

 District Staff will receive pay during the week of November 23 as follows: 

  • Teachers will not report and will be paid November 23 – 27. Any temporary leave requests that have been submitted will be removed including those days that an employee may be off under FFCRA.
  • Paras and Assistant Paras will not report November 23 – 27 and will be paid November 23, 24, 26, and 27. November 25 is a Non-Working Day. Any temporary leave requests that have been submitted will be removed including those days that an employee may be off under FFCRA.
  • Temporary Staff will be paid November 23 and 24 in accordance to their normal working schedule on their primary position during the time off.
  • Day-to-Day Guest Staff will be paid for November 23 and 24 based on an “average” of daily time worked over the prior 4 weeks.
  • Long Term Guest Staff Teachers will not report and will be paid November 23 - 25 provided conferences were worked.
  • Classified Staff following the 220, 225, and 230-day Calendars will not report and will be paid for November 23, 24, 26, and 27. November 25 is a Non-Working Day. Any temporary leave or vacation requests that have been submitted will be removed including those days that an employee may be off under FFCRA.
  • Classified Staff following the 260-day Calendar will be paid standard hours. Any temporary leave or vacation requests that have been submitted will be removed including those days that an employee may be off under FFCRA.
  • Administrative Staff will not report and will be paid November 23 – 27.  Any temporary leave or vacation requests that have been submitted will be removed including those days that an employee may be off under FFCRA.
  • No secondary jobs will be paid during the time off
  • Any employees who are required to work during this time will receive instruction from their supervisor.
     

District Staff will report back on Monday, November 30, and must be in pay status on this day to receive Holiday Pay for the week of November 23. The District thanks you for your hard work, grace, and flexibility through these challenging times.
