WPS Online enrollment begins July 2 - A few changes for 2019-20 enrollment

In-Person Enrollment is July 29 – 31

Online enrollment for the 2019 – 20 school year begins July 2. Returning parents with an active ParentVue account can update information, complete enrollment forms and pay for enrollment and school meals online. Parents are encouraged to use this service in order to streamline the enrollment process. Parents who have forgotten their password will need to contact their child’s school beginning July 25 to reset.

In-person enrollment is July 29 – 31. Enrollment times at all schools will be 12 – 7 p.m. July 29 – 30, and 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on July 31. Parents can go to www.usd259.org/enroll to print off and complete common enrollment forms before they go to their child’s school to enroll during in-person enrollment. Schools will also assist parents to set up a ParentVue account during in-person enrollment to complete the process online.

New for the 2019-20 enrollment process:

  • Online meal payments and meal benefit applications will switch to Titan

Nutrition Services is switching to a new online payment system – Titan. Parents will be able to make payments to their child’s meal account and apply for meal benefits if they want to be considered for free/reduced meals. Parents can set up an account at https://family.titank12.com/ or on the Titan Family Connect app. Additional information about the Titan program can be found on the WPS Nutrition Services website.

The Titan system also allows parents to receive low balance alerts, track student purchases, set student spending limits, set no-buy items and transfer money between accounts if they have more than one child.

Any remaining funds for meals in the MyPaymentsPlus system from last year were automatically transferred to the Titan system.

Parents will continue to pay for enrollment fees through their MyPaymentsPlus account. The MyPaymentsPlus system will be phased out during the 2019-20 year.

  • High school Textbook and Student Materials fee

High schools will streamline the enrollment fee payment process through MyPaymentsPlus. There will be only one required element for all students called Textbook and Student Materials. The fee encompasses items such as textbooks, student ID and lanyard, locker fees, technology fees, agendas and other items. There will be separate fees for programs such as CTE and AP classes and additional items like yearbooks and parking passes.

The Textbook and Student Materials fee will be based on a student’s meal status:

  • Full-pay: $150
  • Reduced-pay: $75
  • Free: $20
  • Changes to immunization requirements

New KSDE immunization requirements include 2 doses of Hepatitis A for kindergarten and 1st grade, 1 dose of Meningococcal for 7th grade and one dose of Meningococcal for 11th grade. The official exclusion day for non-compliance immunizations is October 17, 2019. More information is located at www.usd259.org/immunizations or with the child’s family physician.

Parents can track their child’s bus using the secure FirstView app. Parents can see estimated bus arrival times, track their child’s bus location on its route to and from school and sign up for alert message regarding major delays or issues. Parents can ask their child’s school to receive the student ID number and security code at enrollment. Parents who already have a FirstView account will continue to use their log in information. More information is at www.usd259.org/firstview.

All enrollment information is available at www.usd259.org/enroll.

The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, August 14 with a half-day orientation for 6th and 9th-grade students on Tuesday, August 13.
