Terrell Davis named Executive Director of Public Affairs and Special Projects

Terrell Davis Terrell Davis, principal at Truesdell Middle School, has been named Executive Director of Public Affairs and Special Projects, replacing Diane Gjerstad, who retired from the district after many years of dedicated service. The position is restructured to allow Mr. Davis to be a legislative liaison and resource, as well as take on special projects in the Wichita Public Schools.

Victoria Manning, principal at Pleasant Valley Middle School, will become principal at Truesdell and Walter Givens, assistant principal at Northwest High School, will become principal at Pleasant Valley Middle School.

  • Donna Simpson, principal at Payne to principal at Harry Street – replaces Julie Bettis, who is retiring.
  • Ben Myrick, assistant principal at North to principal at Colvin – replaces Michele Ingenthron, who was named Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools
  • Anne Clemens, principal at Hyde to principal at Minneha – replaces Chris Wendt, who will be Executive Director of Elementary Schools
  • Lynn DuVall, principal at Anderson to principal at Jackson
  • Kamiel Evans, principal at Jackson to principal at Jefferson
  • Janice Wilson, principal at Jefferson to principal at Woodman
  • Jeanna Hernandez, principal at Park to principal at Lawrence
  • Michelle Cuda, principal at Woodland to principal at Dodge
  • Nicki Vossman, principal at Woodman to principal at Anderson

  • Eric Hofer-Holdeman, principal at Mayberry to principal at Northwest High School - replaces Gil Alvarez, who was named Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools
  • Jeff Freund, principal at Coleman to principal at Mayberry
  • Eric Filippi, assistant principal at Coleman to principal at Coleman
  • Ben Mitchell, employee relations/training director, to principal at Brooks – replaces Renee Erickson, who is retiring.
  • Leslianne Craft, assistant principal at Marshall, to principal at Stucky – replaces Jennifer Sinclair, who has elected to return to the classroom and teach at West High.

District-level administration changes:

  • Michelle Ingenthron: principal at Colvin to Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools
  • Gil Alvarez: principal at Northwest to Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools
  • Chris Wendt, principal at Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet to Executive Director of Elementary Schools.
  • Shannon Benoit will lead the Pre-K programs and Multilingual Education Services
  • Dr. Ken Jantz will be Executive Director of Title I Programs
  • Dr. Lisa Lutz will continue to lead our Assessments and Research Department as it joins with IST. She will serve as IST-Academic Liaison.
