BOE approves 2021-22 school year calendar 

The Board of Education approved the 2021-22 school year calendar during its February 8, 2021 meeting. The first day of school for all students is August 12, with orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade on August 11. The last day of school would be May 25.   

Some key dates on the 2021-22 calendar include:

• Enrollment: July 26 – 28
• Orientation for new teachers: August 2 – 3
• Inservice for all teachers: August 4 – 11
• Orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade students: August 11
• First day of school: August 12
• Fall recess: November 25 – 26
• Student Winter Recess: December 17 – January 4; Administrative Winter Recess December 24 – January 3
• Spring recess: March 14 – 18
• Last day of school: May 25 

The calendar also reflects the district-wide winter shutdown in December and the four-day work weeks in June and July.
