Arts in Education Week to feature open house at Wichita Art Museum

September 10-16 is National Arts in Education Week and, to celebrate, the district's Fine Arts department will host a celebration at the Wichita Art Museum, Saturday, Sept. 16.

Free admission to the museum will be available for all attendees. 

Schedule of events:

• 10 a.m. Ballet Wichita Performance - "Thumbelina, A Fairy's Tale"
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - WPS musical performances, Artmaking, WPS student docents

11 a.m. North High School drum line

11:15 a.m. East High School String Quintet

Noon North High Marching Band

1 p.m. South High School Jazz Band

2 p.m. Northeast Magnet Jazz Band
