BOE videos: District announces major technology initiatives and renames Wichita Virtual School to Education Imagine Academy

At the June 15 BOE meeting, the district’s Chief Information Officer, Rob Dickson, provided an overview of technology initiatives designed to address digital equity and accessibility including plans for all middle and high school students to receive HP 440 Probooks that will have internet connectivity built-in. The current technology used by secondary students would then be shifted to elementary students. The Board also approved the renaming of the Wichita Virtual School to Education Imagine Academy. The Board of Education also authorized the funds to purchase $24,000,000 in technology for students and staff.
