USD 259 owns over 6,000 instruments available for student use. These instruments are maintained through an Instrument Tech Department with 4 technicians. These highly-trained technicians keep the instruments cleaned, tuned, and in proper playing condition for students to use throughout the district. Students have the opportunity to rent some instruments from the district for a yearly fee. Flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, and violins can be rented from the district for one year. All other district instruments can be rented through high school.
