Future Youth Court Applicants!

You must have an application turned in to Mrs. Seiwert in H1 to be considered for Youth Court next year as a class.  You can get an application from Mrs. Seiwert in H1 or your counselor. If an application is not received by March 22nd, it will be assumed that you do not want to be in the class next year and you will be dropped which will require you to choose a different elective for next year.

GSA members and allies, this week’s GSA meeting will not be held; we will hold our usual leadership meeting Wednesday the 27th and our general club meeting Friday the 29th.

There will be a mandatory student council meeting in c8, Ms. Harvey’s room, during lunch on Thursday, March 28th. This is an important meeting so if you cannot make it  please come and speak with Ms. Harvey or Mrs. Turner regarding meeting information.

NHS will be meeting in the G3 on Friday March 22 during Titan Time this is a change in location so remember NHS in G3 Friday. Please try and wear an NHS or South High shirt for the group photo!

Anybody interested in a cocktail dress or a long formal gown?  Be on the lookout at lunch to see the 18 dresses that are up for grabs!  Support your South HS FCCLA club as they work towards raising money for their state competition in April.  Make a donation to the club for an opportunity to be the owner of one of these new gowns! Contact Ms. Babb if you have any questions!

Are you interested in twirling, spinning, and dancing in the fall 2019 marching band show? Color guard tryouts will be held Tuesday, March 26 through Thursday, March 28 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the upstairs of the big gym behind the bleachers. Please see Ms. Nance in room S-2 if you have further questions.

Are you interested in learning more about Historically Black Colleges and Universities?  Langston University will be in the CCC during Titan Time this Friday.  They will be able to offer out-of-state fee waivers and scholarships to students with above a 2.7 GPA on-the-spot.  Don’t miss out!  Go to B6 for a pass.

Don’t forget, tonight is the city wide club for YoungLife! We will be loading vehicles at 6pm by the choir room and return to South around 8:30. Dinner will be provided. Come out tonight for a fun-filled evening!

Do you want to get involved in School Spirit? Then the Cheer squad just might be what you are looking for. Come to tryouts tonight. Spring sports practice, no problem, just let your coach know. Any questions, stop by C-9 and Mrs. Haney will be happy to help.
