Happy National Yearbook Week! Here’s today’s yearbook trivia: The first Northwest yearbook was produced during the 1978-1979 school year. The Northwest yearbook was officially named Silvertip from that year on. The name Silvertip comes from the fact that some grizzly bears have silver-tipped fur.
Have you purchased your Northwest yearbook yet? If not, head over to Jostens.com to reserve your book today!
Don’t forget to bring your spare change. Tomorrow is the last day to donate for Pennies for Patients.
This year’s ARMED FORCES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE TEST will be conducted the morning of October 25 at Northwest. The ASVAB test helps you identify your skills and interests and matches those to possible careers. The test is for any interested junior or senior and you do not need to have an interest in the military to take the test, however, if the military is a possible option, you should consider taking the ASVAB. See Mr. Cathey or your grade level counselor to sign up to take the test. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, October 17 but the number of test spots is limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
